Poveglia representa un escenario singular donde la belleza de un paisaje particular, su fuerte historia y cultura establecieron las bases para la creación de un campus que debe reflejar la forma como las nuevas generaciones aprenden. La educación está evolucionando, la tecnología está jugando un papel importante y los entornos académicos debe responder a esta dinámica cambiante de acuerdo a estrategias pedagógicas contemporáneas, basadas en proyectos y actividades prácticas, donde los espacios de colaboración entre estudiantes fomentan el intercambio de ideas y por lo tanto la producción de conocimiento. Esta propuesta tiene como objetivo crear un sistema en virtud de las declaraciones anteriores mediante la búsqueda de claras conexiones entre los edificios existentes y las nuevas arquitecturas y la redefinición de la imagen del conjunto a través de un lenguaje contemporáneo que contrasta con el pasado y representa un nuevo significado para la isla
Poveglia represents a unique setting where the beauty of a particular landscape, its strong history and culture, laid the groundwork for the creation of a campus that must reflect how new generations learn. Education is evolving, technology is playing an important role, and academic environments must respond to this changing dynamic according to contemporary pedagogical strategies, based on projects and practical activities, where collaborative spaces among students foster the exchange of ideas and therefore the production of knowledge. This proposal aims to create a system in line with the aforementioned statements by seeking clear connections between existing buildings and new architectures and redefining the image of the whole through a contemporary language that contrasts with the past and represents a new meaning for the island.
El sistema se concibe como un espacio continuo, fuertemente ligado a su paisaje con la incorporación de áreas de transición, aberturas, puentes, callejuelas y áreas de expresión comunitaria. Las fachadas de los edificios antiguos se pueden ver a nivel del suelo, ya que el sistema respeta y entiende su calidad e importancia, y las ruinas están directamente integradas con los nuevos edificios, generando un interesante diálogo. Las aulas son consideradas como el núcleo del sistema; estas cajas de luz colocadas a lo largo del cuerpo de enlace se proyectan como áreas no jerárquicas y flexibles que pueden conectarse fácilmente al exterior como una extensión de las actividades académicas; Su geometría es una expresión de esta idea, que contrasta con las doctrinas espaciales de la educación obligatoria tradicional.
The system is conceived as a continuous space, strongly linked to its landscape with the incorporation of transition areas, openings, bridges, alleyways, and areas of community expression. The facades of the old buildings can be seen at ground level, as the system respects and understands their quality and importance, and the ruins are directly integrated with the new buildings, generating an interesting dialogue. The classrooms are considered as the core of the system; these light boxes placed along the link body are projected as non-hierarchical and flexible areas that can be easily connected to the outside as an extension of academic activities; Their geometry is an expression of this idea, contrasting with the spatial doctrines of traditional compulsory education.
